How to download and use the KMV Passenger App

To download the KMV Passenger App to your Android or iOS device, either scan the QR code, or if you're viewing this on the device on which you wish to install the app, just click HERE, or the caption below the QR code image.

Sign In or Create an Account

Click on the Menu icon in the top right corner (White circle with 3 black lines)

Click on "Sign In" to login to an existing account, or click "Register" to create a new account

Sign In to existing account

To sign in to your existing KMV Transportation Online account, enter your account email address and password. If you can't remember your password, click on "Forgot Password?" and follow the instructions.

Create a new account - Step 1

To create a new KMV Transportation Online account, enter your First and Last name, your email address, and desired password. Your password must contain at least 12 characters, including uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols. The total length must be between 12 and 50 characters in length. When you've entered all your information, click "Sign Up". Text will appear at the bottom of the screen saying "Account Created". You can then click "Sign In" to enter your new credentials and sign into the app.

After successfully signing in to your account, when you click on the Menu Icon, you'll be welcomed with your First and Last Name, and your email address

Step 3

When you look in the Main Menu, there will be an option to "Install App on Your Home Screen". Click on this option to install the KMV Passenger App to your device.


There are certain instances where this option might not be visible in your Main Menu. In this case, click on the three (3) dots in the upperhand right corner of the screen, then go to the next step for more information.

Step 4

After clicking on the three-dot menu button, a menu will drop down. We've highlighted in red where you need to click, the option labeled "Add to Home Screen".



The KMV Passenger App is now installed on your device. Depending on your settings, an icon might have been added to your home screen. Some devices won't automatically place the shortcut icon on your home screen; you will find it in your app list.

Viewing your Profile

When you click on the "View Profile" link in the Menu, you'll be taken to this page. Here you can view and edit your personal information. You can also reset your password on this page by clicking "Email me a Password Reset Link >>". To edit your default billing address for credit cards, click "Edit" below your billing address.

Creating a new booking - Step 1

To begin creating a new reservation, start by clicking in the "Enter Pickup Location" box on the main screen. You'll be taken to this screen shown in this image. Just begin typing your Pickup Address, or enter your airport code. The system will auto-search as you type. When you find your desired Pickup Address or Location, click on it.

Step 2

You'll be taken back to the Main Screen, where you'll find your Pickup Address in box "A". The map will also zoom to your Pickup Address or Location, and place a black dot with the letter "A" on top. From here, you can click in the box labeled "B", "Enter Destination or Book an Hourly Ride".

Step 3

You'll then be taken to this screen. Here you can enter your Destination Address the same way you did for your Pickup Address. You also have the option of booking an hourly ride. 


IF YOUR RESERVATION IS NOT TO OR FROM DTW (DETROIT METROPOLITAN AIRPORT), YOU MUST SELECT "HOURLY RIDE". ALL NON-DTW BOOKINGS ARE BILLED HOURLY, AT $75/HR, WITH A 3 HOUR MINIMUM.

Choosing a Destination Address in the KMV Passenger App

Step 4

If you selected a Destination Address or Location, you'll be taken to the screen shown on the right. The button with the "+" (Plus sign) will allow you to add a stop. Stops added to a DTW Pickup or Drop-Off are charged a $20 Extra Stop Fee. If management determines your stop is too far off-route or out of the way of your normal destination, additional fees may apply. A good rule of thumb is, if the stop is generally considered to be "on the way" to your Final Destination, there will not be any additional fees over and above the $20 Extra Stop Fee. When you're done entering your itinerary, click on "CONFIRM YOUR ROUTE".

Step 5

Next you'll be asked to enter your Flight Information. Our system will track your flight constantly to ensure your driver is waiting, even if your arrival ETA changes. However, we do understand clients may want to book their reservation BEFORE they have confirmed their Flight Information. If you do not have your Flight Information yet, just click "SKIP". You can add your Flight Number after you've booked.


After the system verifies the Flight Information is real and correct, an additional message will show, as depicted in the image. It will ask you where you want your chauffeur to pick you up, and when to pick you up. The system will show your flight's arrival date and ETA below the dropdown list. This is the amount of time AFTER your scheduled arrival you want the driver to wait before picking you up. For example, selecting "30 min" means you want your driver to pick you up 30 minutes AFTER your scheduled arrival ETA. When done, click "ADD FLIGHT".


NOTE: THE INSIDE/OUTSIDE PICKUP OPTION IS A REQUEST. IT IS ENTIRELY THE DRIVER'S DISCRETION WHETHER TO PICK UP INSIDE TERMINAL OR CURBSIDE. WE WILL TRY TO HONOR YOUR PREFERENCE. IF A DRIVER CANNOT HONOR YOUR PREFERENCE, THEY WILL CONTACT YOU WITH ACCURATE PICKUP INSTRUCTIONS. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN PRICE BETWEEN AN INSIDE TERMINAL OR CURBSIDE PICKUP.

Step 6

Now you'll be taken to the Vehicle Selection page. Here you need to verify the number of passengers and luggage in your booking by clicking on the number of passengers. In the example image, it's the text below "Select Your Vehicle" in purple. Simply enter the correct number of each item into the boxes and click "CONFIRM". 


Then select a vehicle. Depending on availability, you may be able to specify "Black" or "Regular" SUV, or the only option could be "Best Available Vehicle". All vehicles are the same price; this is mostly for scheduling purposes. Once you have selected your Vehicle, click "CONFIRM".


Clicking the three dots in the top right corner will open a Menu with the options to "Call Customer Service" or "Discard Booking".

Step 7

Now you will see the Reservation Overview Screen. Here you can edit your itinerary and other booking details. If the person booking the reservation will also be the passenger, your name will show next to "TRIP FOR:". If the person booking the reservation WILL NOT be the passenger, click on the black bar that says "TRIP FOR", select "Guest" from the dropdown menu, and add the passenger's information.


If you have already added a default payment method to your account, it will be displayed next to the "PAYMENT" label. If you have not added a default payment method to your account already, click on "Add New Card".


You can also select a default billing address, enter any PROMO CODE you may have, and leave notes or instructions for your driver to read.


Your Trip Total will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. Next to the dollar amount, clicking the circle with the letter " i " will show you a complete rate breakdown. When you are satisfied with your reservation, click "BOOK THIS TRIP".

Step 8

If successful, you'll see this confirmation screen. You will receive a confirmation number. Keep it in a safe place, you'll need to reference it when talking with customer service, or to modify or cancel a reservation online or in the app. Don't worry, a confirmation email will be sent to your account email address.

Hourly Bookings - Step 1

To book an hourly reservation, click on the "Hourly Ride" tab. Choose the amount of time desired for your hourly reservation.


NOTE: HOURLY BOOKINGS HAVE A THREE (3) HOUR MINIMUM. SELECTING ANY DURATION LESS THAN 3 HOURS WILL VOID YOUR BOOKING AND IT WILL BE CANCELLED.

Book Hourly transportation in the KMV Passenger App

Step 2

After selecting your number of hours, you'll be taken back to the Main Screen. Notice that another input box has appeared below labeled "Enter Final Drop-Off Location". Click there to either input your Final Drop-Off Location, or select "Skip - I don't know my drop-off location". Click "CONFIRM YOUR ROUTE". The rest of the procedure is the same as booking a flat rate DTW reservation.

Track your driver

Your KMV Passenger App offers a load of features for when your ride is in progress, and/or when your driver is enroute to your pickup. When your driver changes their status to "On the way", a purple button will appear on your app's Main Screen. Click on "Track In-Progress Ride" to view a live map of your driver enroute to your pickup.


You can also track your driver without the use of the KMV Passenger App. When your chauffeur is enroute to your pickup, you will receive a text message confirming your driver is "On the Way", and a link to take you directly to a driver tracking map.
